1. TYPES OF CONCRETE(As per IS:456:2000)

Ordinary Concrete- M10 To M20.

Standard Concrete- M25 To M55.

High Strength Concrete- > M60.

2. PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE-

Relatively high Compressive Strength.
Low tensile Strength.

3. REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE-

It is a composite material which consist embedding of steel bars into plane concrete which relatively low tensile strength and ductility.

4. PRE-STRESSED CONCRETE-

It is a high strength concrete with high strength wires embedded.

5. GRADE OF CONCRETE-

The most desire property of concrete. It represents it's compressive strength.

Lean Concrete Bases- M5 and M7.5.
Plain Cement Concrete(PCC)- M10
RCC general construction- M15.
Water Tanks, Dams- M20.
RCC in Sea Water- M30 for RCC and M20 for PCC.
Post Tension- M30.
Pre Tension- M40.
