There has many responsibilities as a civil engineer depending upon the type of work. They should have the knowledge of supervision of any type of construction work.There is few points to remember as a civil engineer.

1. Maximum Bars in square column will be four and that will be six for circular column.

2. Free fall of concrete is allowed maximum size 1.5 Meter.

3. Lapping is not allowed for the bars having diameter 36 mm.

4. Cement can use from manufacturing date to 90 days.

5. The volume of each bag (50 Kg) cement is 0.0347 M3 or 1. 23 CFT (CFT = Cubic Foot).

6. The minimum thickness of the slab should be 125 mm.

7. Water absorption of the brick should not be more than 15%.

8. The least count of theodolite is 20 seconds and least count of compass is 30 minutes.

9. As per IS Code, 3 sample should taken for core cutting test for every 100 m^2.

10. 1 Gallon = 3.78 litters.
